My Professional Journey

My career has always centered around one core theme: storytelling.

I began working in post-production for television and film, building experience in editing, narrative structure, and visual effects. During this time, I also freelanced as an independent filmmaker, which gave me the opportunity to take full ownership of projects from concept through to final delivery.

I was also fortunate enough to work with Rodeo FX in the visual effects department on award-winning films. That experience reinforced both my technical foundation and my appreciation for the collaborative effort required to bring large-scale productions to life.

Over time, my focus gradually expanded from film and post-production into web development and marketing. This shift allowed me to apply storytelling principles in a new context: helping organizations communicate their message clearly and effectively online.

Since then, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, including non-profit organizations such as the New Horizons Society for Children with Autism and other special needs, scientific organizations such as MIREC, and more recently tourism and attractions such as the Greater Vancouver Zoo.

Today, I continue to work as a video editor while also freelancing in web development, video production, and AI-enabled tools for small businesses. This combination allows me to support clients across both creative and technical needs, helping them build stronger digital presence and more cohesive storytelling.

Despite rumours about my departure from the Greater Vancouver Zoo: claims suggesting that I was fired or let go are completely false. Controversies surrounding the zoo are completely unrelated to my departure. I made the decision to leave of my own accord and continue to maintain a positive relationship with the team who support my new path.

The zoo is a well-known organization that, like many public-facing attractions, can attract differing opinions and occasional controversy, which can present unique marketing challenges. During my time there, I’m proud to have contributed to helping the team communicate their story more clearly and reach a wider audience.
